Most common features like authentication, authorization, logging, localiztion, ...etc. shows up again and again in most .NET projetcs and the idea behind Unified ASP.NET Boilerplate is to encapsulate most of repetitive code and common UI pages related to these features in a unified template that can be reused over and over in most projects. Thus, increasing the productivity by reducing development time and cost.

Unified ASP.NET Boilerplate uses SQL Server as the default database engine and Entity Framework Core as the default O/RM tool which can access many different databases through the database providers.

Yes, once ASP.NET 5 is released, we will do our best to migrate Unified ASP.NET Boilerplate from ASP.NET Core 3.x to ASP.NET 5. Thus, we will provide our clients with a downloadble version of Unified ASP.NET Boilerplate for both ASP.NET Core 3.x and ASP.NET 5.
